The Arizona Department of Economic Security's Family Assistance Administration is looking for Program Services Evaluators (PSEs), also known as Eligibility Interviewers, who are responsible for all aspects of the eligibility determination process for Nutrition Assistance (formerly known as Food Stamps), Medical Assistance and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families. Our work is fast paced, challenging and meaningful. These positions are critical in assisting Arizona families obtain the benefits for which they qualify.
Knowledge of: interviewing and customer service techniques; basic mathematical computations to determine public assistance eligibility; general office equipment.
Skills in/Ability to: use of computer systems and computer keyboarding for data entry and retrieval of programmatic and customer information; learn basic Federal, State and agency statutes, rules and regulations applicable to the public assistance programs; utilize verbal and written communication to apply laws, statutes, rules and regulation and to prepare and respond to various requests from customers; develop effective working relationships with community resources, other state agencies and internal staff members; resolve issues with customers; comprehend rules, regulations, policies and procedures; make determinations.
Special Selection Factor(s): Must have a high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.).
These positions require a valid Arizona driver's license; and may require fluency in a designated language.
Selective/Preference: Preferred candidate will possess a proficiency in typing/keyboarding.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
